Weller AEC-9000™ is a process that produces a high strength system to an existing base metal. This process creates a much slower erosion/corrosion rate that will occur to the base metal.
The Weller AEC-9000™ process is also resistant to numerous acids. Some common corrosive environments, which do not affect Weller AEC-9000™ include hydrochloric acid, hydrogen gas, sulphuric acid, hydrofluoric acid and salt water. The Weller AEC-9000™ process chemically behaves as a whole very differently from the elements that form its composition. This chemical composition also allows Weller AEC-9000™ to resist a chemical attack at high temperatures, which in turn also adds to a prolonged base life. Several applications include temperature heat probes, burner tubes, thermocouples, tool steels, and machine parts.
